Day 1: Arrival at Ulanbaatar

An English-speaking guide and driver will meet you at the airport in time for the arrival of your international flight.
You will be taken from the airport to your hotel in Ulaanbaatar.
On arrival at the hotel, you are free to spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 2: Naadam Festival

From the hotel to the Central Stadium, the venue for Naadam.
Naadam opening ceremony and viewing of Mongolian Sumo wrestling.

Mongolian Sumo wrestling has a long history among nomadic peoples and is a symbol of the Naadam festival. The wrestling does not use a ring, but takes place on a large grassy field, and victory or defeat is determined by whether any part of the body, other than the hands, touches the ground.

Visit Gandan Monastery, the head temple of Mongolian Tibetan Buddhism.

Day 3: Naadam Festival & Aragalant

Morning, we will drive to Naadam horse racing venue in Khui Doloon Hudag.(1.5 hours by car, 40km)

Mongolian horse racing is also an important part of the Naadam festival and is characterised by unique rules and customs. Of particular note is the participation of young children as riders. The horses are divided into age categories, with distances ranging from six-year-olds to two-year-olds, and the sight of them galloping across the meadows is spectacular.

Day 4: Argalant - Elsen Tasarkhai Sand Dune

In the morning, we will drive towards to Elsen Tasarkhai Sand Dune (3 hours by car, 220km).
Lunch at tourist camp near Elsen Tasarkhai Sand Dune
Visit to the Elsen Tasarkhai Sand Dune and camel ridding. (30 min)

Overnight in Elsen Tasarkhai
Day 5: Elsen Tasarkhai Sand Dune - Tsenkher Hot Spring

In the morning, we will drive towards to Tsenkher. (3.5 hours by car, 220km)
Lunch on the way at a restaurant or tourist camp in Karakorum
After lunch, drive from Karakorum to Tsenkher.
Arrival at the tourist camp of Tsenkher in the evening.
Please relax until dinner.
Dinner at Tourist Camp
Enjoy the hot springs, which are believed to be the hidden hot springs of Ogedei Khan, son of Chinggis Khan.

Day 6: Khongor Sand Dunes - Yolyn Am Valley

Morning, we will drive towards to Karakorum. (2 hours by car, 120 km)
Visit the Karakoram, the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire founded by Chinggis Khaan in 1220.
Visit the ‘Turtle Rock’, created during the pre-Mongolian Tutsi and Uyghur periods.
Lunch at a tourist camp in Karakoram.
Visit the Erdene-zuu monastery, a magnificent and oldest Buddhist monastery built in the 16th century with 108 stupas.
Visit the Karakoram Museum, which displays the buried cultural heritage of the Karakoram urban site.
Visit the ‘Great Mongol Map Mural’, which shows the power structure of Mongolia in each historical period.

Overnight in Tsenkher Hot Spring – Karakorum
Day 7: Karakorum - Ugii Lake - Ulaanbaatar

Morning, we will drive towards to Ugii Lake. (1.5 hours by car, 80 km)
On the way, visit the Khushuu Tsaidam Museum, where inscriptions from the Turkic period are on display.
Lunch at a tourist camp near Ugii Lake.
Enjoy the scenery of Ugii Lake, a well-known habitat for around 150 species of waterbirds.
Afternoon, we will drive towards to Ulaanbaatar. (5.5 hours by car, 340 km)

Day 8: Ulaanbaatar - Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex - Terelj National Park

In the morning, we will drive towards to Terelj National Park. (1.5 hours by car, 65 km)
On the way to Terelj, stop at the Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex.
Visit the 40-metre-high statue of the Great Chinggis Khaan’s equestrian statue and museum.
Arrive in Terelj and visit nomadic homes.
Lunch is a Mongolian home-cooked meal in a nomadic home.
Horse riding experience (1 hour)
Afternoon, Visit the Turtle Stone, a landmark of the Terelj National Park.
Then, Visit the Aryaval monastery, a Tibetan Buddhist temple built on a hillside.

Day 9: Terelj National Park - Ulaanbaatar

Morning, we will drive to Ulaanbaatar. (1.5 hours by car, 65 km)
Visit Zaisan Hill, which offers a panoramic view of Ulaanbaatar city.
Lunch at a restaurant in Ulaanbaatar
Visit the Mongolian Museum of Natural History, where you can learn about the dinosaurs discovered in Mongolia and the flora and fauna that live there.
Mongolian souvenir shopping at Nomin Department Store (formerly National Department Store).
Watch a Mongolian folk dance concert featuring traditional Mongolian music, such as morin khuur, a traditional Mongolian musical instrument in the shape of a horse’s head, and the Khoomii, a unique Mongolian singing technique.
Dinner at a restaurant in Ulaanbaatar
After dinner, you will be taken to your hotel in Ulaanbaatar.
