You will be picked up at your hotel in Chiang Mai to start the one day trip in the enchanting city of Chiang Mai.
The program start with a visit to the iconing Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, a Buddhist Temple situated on top of Doi Suthep Hill overlooking the town of Chiang Mai.
From Doi Suthep we will continue the trip down the hill back to the town, and visit Wat Chedi Luang. This iconic temple, standing proudly in the city’s historic center, is a living testament to the rich cultural tapestry of Northern Thailand. Built in the 14th century, the chedi (stupa) once soared to towering heights, making it one of the tallest structures in ancient Chiang Mai. Although time and earthquakes have left their mark, the remnants of this colossal structure exude an undeniable aura of antiquity and resilience.
Visit Warorot Market which is regarded as the largest and most well-known market in the northern region of Thailand. Situated next to Ping River, this market is well known for selling local products, especially northern food, which is rare in other regions including dry food such as dried fruits etc. Apart from local food, there are also clothes, ceramic, cloth, embroidery appliances, flowers and many others.
After lunch, and before returning to your hotel, we will take you to a photo stop at Tha Phae Gate which is one of the main gates of the preserved city gate that dates back to ancient times.
